Raised by his aunt and uncle, he developed a strong foundation rooted in discipline, respect, and perseverance values that would later define both his personal and professional life.

After earning his degree from Bowie State College, Baldwin went on to serve in law enforcement, including time with the United States Park Police, where he advanced through the ranks with dedication and integrity. His career later transitioned into education, where he found his true calling teaching, mentoring, and shaping the minds of future generations

Throughout his career, he has worked as a public school teacher, college-level educator, and curriculum contributor, even co-developing academic programs such as African American History Studies. His passion for teaching continues today, as he remains active as a substitute teacher, driven by a genuine desire to make a difference in students’ lives.
